This will be the 9th War on the Shore! Last year we were able to raise $33,000! Our 8 year total is now up to over $152,000. We have set a goal for 2013 of $50,000, which wont be easy without help from everyone!
Fortunately we have an amazing committee to run this years event!!

Some other key information:
- Pappy's BBQ of Marmora is setting up their catering in the parking lot with a large tent, tables and chairs. We will have an entire Pig Roast for everyone! As well as burgers, dogs and plenty of sides.
- Jack's will be offering phenominal drink specials that simply cannot be found anywhere else in Avalon. More details to come!
- We are ecstatic about having live entertainment again this year! Longmiles will be playing live for us and Jay Weiss will be DJ'ing inbetween sets!
- There will be an even better raffle than previous years! Updates to follow
- We will again be having a 50/50 raffle. Last years winner was Mike Dandurand, winning over $700! See below to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are $10!

What we need from you:
- Help Promote!! Download our flyer and post it everywhere you can! Work, around your neighborhood, down the shore! We need more people to come!
- Get local businesses involved! This is not just about Penn State! We need to get as many businesses on board with the Fight Against Cancer as possible! Get them to come to the event, donate a prize or become a sponsor!
- Sign up for our newsletter(look up and to the right) and like our FB Page! Even sign up your friends for our newsletter, its easy!!
- Spread the word!

For those of you who are not familiar with WOTS, it raises money for children and families inflicted with Pediatric Cancer by helping The Four Diamonds Fund, The Hershey Medical Center, and most importantly, THON!!
THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world, raising over $100 MILLION since 1977, including over $12.3 MILLION in 2012!!!
All donations are 100% tax deductible, including the cash value of any prize donations!

But please remember, this is not for us, this is for every child that is lying in a hospital bed who hasn’t been able to enjoy all of the things that we have. It is for all those parents that would do ANYTHING to take the pain and suffering away from their innocent children, even if just for a day. It is for those that we have already lost and just as important, for those we can eventually save.
