7th Annual War on the Shore

This will be the 7th War on the Shore. Last year we were able to raise $21,800!! Our 6 year total is now up to over $90,000. We have set a goal for 2011 of $25,000, which won't be easy without help from everyone!
We are going to need all kinds of volunteers this year so PLEASE contact me if interested.
Cost of the event is $40 and 100% of the proceeds go directly to THON. Payment is accepted only at the door.
This year there will be no free buffet unfortunately, but we do have great discounts on your Windrift favorites. (exact details to follow, but will be similiar to Wing Night Specials)
We do however have Secret Service playing from 4:00-8:00!
This year's War on the Shore will again be held again at The Windrift on Saturday August 6th from 5:00-10:00. Last year over 425 people came out, lets aim for well over 500 this year!
For those of you who are not familiar with WOTS, it raises money for children and families inflicted with Pediatric Cancer by helping The Four Diamonds Fund, The Hershey Medical Center, and most importantly, THON!!
THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world, raising over $78 MILLION since 1997, including over $9.5 MILLION in 2011.
All donations are 100% tax deductible, including the cash value of any prize donations!
The chineese auction is setup with two forms of prizes, Grand and Regular Prizes prizes from last year include but are not limited to
1. Phillies, Eagles, PSU, Yankees, Mets, Stillers, ‘Skins, Flyers, Sixers, Big5 Bball Tickets and Memorobillia
2. Gift Certificates to super-expensive restaurants, day spa/massage places, retail/clothing stores (Best Buy, Stephan Starr, Global Pursuit)
3. Awesome Things like Ipods
4. Tickets to Shows/Theatre, gift packages to AC, Cape May and Australia
Prizes are obviously one of the biggest draws and bring in plenty of extra money, but what we could really use is some media exposure! If you know people in the media that could get us some press running up to the event or even some coverage during the event you would make a great committee member!
